The goal of this course is identifying and explaining the different ways in which volcanoes are formed, as well as its relationship with magma composition and plate tectonics. Moreover, volcanoes have an important influence in the populations that live close to them, enhancing cultural and mythological representations that are persistent in local cultural heritages.

The course is intended for 12 year old students. It focuses on the existence of the European Union, its history and geographical borders. The children find out information about the states, the capital cities and important European institutions.
